suRRmenage is from Salvador, Brazil, home of ‘Tropicalistas’ and World Music artists such as Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, as well as the pioneer of Bossa Nova, João Gilberto and brazilian rock pioneer Raul Seixas. It was formed in 2009 with the debut album "the suRRmenage sessions" by veteran bassist/singer Arthur Caria (Dead Easy/X-Rated), with Maynard Passos (guitar) and Mark Mesquita (drums).
